19. Ndf7+ or Nef7+ ... There's just no good response for black here. If black plays Kg8, then white plays Nxd8+ (discovered check) and wins a free rook. If black plays Rxf7, then white plays Nxf7+ which will win both rooks for a knight. There are no other options.
20. Qe6+ ... Be sure you have noticed the board position in the diagram. It is black's move. The best hope for black in this position is to get a draw. Qe6+ gets the ever-sought draw. Since white must trade queens and will not be able to pass the pawn (be sure you understand which direction white is headed on this board).
21. Qf2+ ... Black is in a whole lot of trouble until this move suddenly appears on the board. It seems to come from almost nowhere to save the day. Do you see why?
