Removing the Guard and Attraction

Removing the guard and attraction occur when you create a situation where you draw an a piece to a square that creates an advantage for you (typically removing that piece from defending something that it was defending). Attraction is yet another very powerful concept that can create painful results for your opponent. Study, master, and know attraction and removing the guard and continually look for them when playing your chess matches. Remember, before you play any move in chess, be sure to look carefully to see if you have a better move.
